Yishu Wang joins UT By Alan Tennant January 9, 2023 Yishu Wang Brings Quantum Connections to MSE Yishu Wang joined UT this Summer as an assistant professor in Materials Science and Engineering, with a joint position in Physics. Before this Yishu was a postdoctoral Fellow at Johns Hopkins’ Institute for Quantum Matter. She obtained a Ph.D. in physics from Caltech (2018), M.S. in physics from University of Chicago (2014), and B.S. in Engineering Physics from Tsinghua University in China (2013). Yishu is part of the UT Quantum Cluster Hire combining forefront theory, artificial intelligence, and experiment in quantum materials, and is a founding member of the UT IAMM Quantum Center (Thank you Yishu!). She researches quantum magnets and new devices based on their unique properties. Yishu is an innovator and is developing new approaches both in her lab but also on beam lines at the World leading neutron facilities at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. You can find out more about Yishu and her research at https://quantummaterials.utk.edu/affiliates/affiliates-yishu-wang/ and the article above. Yishu, we are excited for you to join us! Yishu Wang
